Ørsted A/S, together with its subsidiaries, develops, constructs, and operates offshore wind farms, bioenergy plants, and waste-to-energy solutions. It operates through Offshore, Onshore, Bioenergy, and Customer Solutions segments. The Offshore segment develops, constructs, owns, and operates offshore wind farms in the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, the United States, and Taiwan. The Onshore segment develops, constructs, owns, and operates onshore wind and solar farms in the United States and a storage solution in the United Kingdom. The Bioenergy segment engages in the generation of heat and power from combined heat and power plants in Denmark, and renescience plant in the United Kingdom, as well as biogas upgrade facilities and a biogas plant. The Customer Solutions segment distributes and sells power and gas in the wholesale and retail markets in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Ørsted A/S has a research agreement with the University of Oxford to optimize the design of foundation structures for offshore wind turbines.
