JVCKENWOOD Corporation manufactures and sells electronic and entertainment products in Japan, the Americas, Europe, Asia, and internationally. It operates in three segments: Automotive Sector, Public Service Sector, and Media Service Sector. The Automotive Sector segment develops car navigation systems, dashcams, in-vehicle devices, and car audio systems, such as car-mounted speakers, amplifiers, antennas, and cable products; and display audio systems that support a range of media, such as CDs, DVDs, USB, and Bluetooth linkage with smartphones and music streaming services. The Public Service Sector segment manufactures, sells, installs, constructs, and maintains professional and amateur radio systems, security camera systems, broadcasting equipment, recorded optical disk, and other professional products; and medical equipment, medical image display monitors and in-vehicle substrates, and Gazefinder, a gaze tracking system, as well as develops and designs software and hardware solutions. The Media Service Sector segment provides video cameras, optical components and projectors, AV accessories, headphones, earphones, consumer video cameras, image display elements, D-ILA devices, laser diodes, and other products; plans, produces, and sells audio and video software; and after-sales services for audio and imaging equipment. This segment is also involved in the production, editing, localizing, and sale of home audio and video products comprises prerecorded CD and DVD discs; studio and event planning and operations; live concert, game, studio, brand licensing businesses, etc. It sells its products under the JVC, KENWOOD, and Victor brand names. The company was formerly known as JVC KENWOOD Holdings, Inc. and changed its name to JVC KENWOOD Corporation in August 2011.
